Where Angles Fear to Tread

Still here and browsing

Filed under: US Politics — Right Angle @ 6:42 pm

We’re still here, having had Fajitas for lunch, with plans of getting more American as we go, although I am settling down with a pint of Bombardier, which is as far from American as you can get really.

Still waiting for something to happen at one of the polls but all seems reasonable quiet on the eastern (and indeed western) front(s) with only the long queues that were expected actually occuring meaning that we could be well on the way to the 130 million voters which some news organisations are speaking of. Such a high turnout should – technically – assist the Democrats, but the fact that McCain has been ‘just’ behind for the last few weeks, may mean that the ‘anyone but Democrats’ brigade may get out the vote more than previously expected.

I should also say, in the interests of balanced, well rounded reporting, that there are more candidates standing than Barrack Obama and John McCain, but as they don’t stand a chance, I’m struggling to find a comprehensive list!
