Looking bleak for McCain

Filed under: Uncategorized — Obtuse Angle @ 2:26 am

175:76 to Obama, and McCain is rapidly running out of outs. He needs Florida and Ohio to both go his way (Fox is calling Ohio for Obama, and if correct, that practically seals things), plus some democratic-leaning states if he is to win.

What is notable is the public vote proportion as reported by the BBC. Obama leads, but only 50%:49%. Despite the probable defeat, McCain looks to have staved off the crushing defeat that had to be a possibility after Bush.

Ohio has just been called for Obama. Short of losing expected firm state votes, that’s the election.
