Washington Result In

11.6% swing in Washington and Sunderland West. A massive swing, in a seat that was very, very safe. And – to be fair is still very safe. No independent here to skew the results so this is interesting, but still unable to extrapolate. If this swing is replicated across the country the exit polls will be horribly wrong. However, this is likely to be an isolated high level in a seat where voters could register disfavour with Labour without a Conservative win.
