Where Angles Fear to Tread

Election Day

US Presidential Election day is here, and the first polling stations will close in a little over 6 hours. The polls are showing Obama with a slim lead, but with the electoral college system and the closeness of the numbers (within the margins of error), there’s definitely a lot up in the air, and Romney could still grab the presidency.

Closer than Obama/Cain in 2008 there will be Democratic states which will definitely fall to Romney, but will there by enough to turn the electoral map of USA red? If Obama wins we’ll know by the close of the night, but if Romney wins there is likely to be legal challenges once again and the result could be significantly delayed.

Once I’m safely settled into our election ‘pit’ I’ll bring more up to date information, news and review throughout the night with a view to the Senate and the House of Representatives as well.
